In 1951 Newton R. Bradley became associated with Mr. Skelton and in 1952 they founded the firm of Skelton and Bradley. Ike Skelton, Jr. joined the firm in 1956 and practiced law until his election to Congress in 1976.

The firm later expanded with the addition of Gary R. Bradley, son of Newton Bradley, in 1975. Gary is board certified in Civil Trial Advocacy in Boston by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. The National Board of Trial Advocacy was established in Boston, Massachusetts in 1977 in response of United State Chief Justice Warren Burger for the purpose of certifying competency of trial attorneys. The National Board of Trial Advocacy requires all members to pass a national examination on trial evidence and other trial issues to verify competency. In addition to the national examination, members are required to have references from Judges and opposing attorneys in actual jury trials. All members are required to have at a minimum of forty contested trials during each five year period for recertification. Gary Bradley was originally certified in 1990 and recertified in 1995, 2000, and 2005 and has participated in several hundred jury trials.
